Barrelas Summer Fest 2026 has its lineup and dates — Xutos, dEUS and Apocalyptica land in Vila Nova de Paiva
Barrelas Summer Fest 2026 runs July 24-25 in Vila Nova de Paiva, with Xutos & Pontapes, dEUS, Apocalyptica, Slow J, Linda Martini and more on the bill.
If your weekend is free and you don’t mind pointing the car inland, Barrelas Summer Fest 2026 has a lineup worth the drive. The festival runs July 24 and 25 in Vila Nova de Paiva, in the Viseu district, pairing beloved Portuguese rock with heavyweight international names — all far from the crush of the big coastal festivals.
The bill is a tasty mix. Xutos & Pontapes, always a full-house guarantee, share the stage with Belgium’s dEUS, Finland’s Apocalyptica — who play metal on cellos, if you’ve never seen them — and England’s Jet. The home contingent is strong too, with Slow J, Linda Martini, Glockenwise, Calle del Ruido and Supernova, plus Britain’s Morcheeba to close out the dancier end.
When and where is Barrelas Summer Fest?
The two nights are Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25, in Vila Nova de Paiva. It’s a small-town festival with the edge the giants have lost: you can catch the shows without queuing half an hour or paying a small fortune for a cup of water. Tickets, schedules and the full day-by-day lineup are on the festival’s official site.
Is it worth going?
If you like variety in one spot, it is. On a weekend when Portugal is packed with options, Barrelas offers the rare combination of familiar headliners and small-town prices.
