Privacy policy
Data controller: Optimax Solutions Lda. ("Tugadaily"). Privacy contact: geral@tugadaily.com. This page explains, without unnecessary legalese, what data we process and why.
What data do we process?
Newsletter: if you subscribe, we store your email and chosen interests on a European newsletter platform, with double opt-in confirmation. We use them only to send the newsletter; you can unsubscribe from any email.
Comments: if you comment on an article, we store the name and text you submit with our hosting provider’s forms service. Comments are moderated before publication.
Analytics: with your consent, we use two analytics providers — one for audience statistics (with IP anonymisation) and one for session analysis, which records anonymised page use such as clicks, scrolling and heatmaps so we can see where readers get stuck. Neither collects what you type into forms. We also use a third analytics tool that sets no cookies and does not identify visitors. They exist solely so we understand what gets read and what needs fixing.
Preferences on your device: your language choice, "For you" feed interests, reactions and cookie-notice answer are stored in your browser's localStorage — they never leave your device and do not identify you to us. Reaction counters are anonymous and aggregated.
Cookies
We only use analytics cookies, set by the two analytics providers described above, and only with your prior consent: neither loads before you click Accept. You can change your mind by clearing the site's data in your browser — the notice will reappear. We use no advertising cookies. You can request the current list of processors at any time by email.
Where does the data live?
Data is handled by our hosting, newsletter and analytics providers, strictly for the purposes described above. Some of these providers may process data in the US, under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. You can request the current list of processors by email.
What are your rights?
Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing, by writing to geral@tugadaily.com. We reply within the legal deadline. You may also complain to Portugal's data authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt).
