MEO Marés Vivas 2026 moves north with a strong lineup
The festival kicks off on 17 July in Leça da Palmeira, Matosinhos, with Seal, James, Myke Towers, Ozuna and plenty of Portuguese names.
The summer of festivals is not just Lisbon, and the North has a heavyweight card this year. MEO Marés Vivas returns from 17 to 19 July, now in Leça da Palmeira, Matosinhos, after years hugging the Gaia riverside. The change of home gives it fresh air and a lineup to match.
Who’s on stage
The bet is the blend that has always defined the festival: international pop, Latin rhythms and a heavy dose of Portuguese music. Through the grounds will pass names such as Seal, James, Myke Towers, Ozuna and Danny Ocean, alongside a Portuguese legion that includes Da Weasel, Plutónio, Dealema, Diogo Piçarra, Calema and Soraia Ramos. There is something for every taste and generation.
Worth going?
For anyone in greater Porto, it is one of the most complete summer cards without crossing the country. For those coming from afar, Matosinhos pays off: beach by day, concerts by night and the best sardines and seafood a few metres away. If you like a festival with the sea on the doorstep, this is the plan.
As always with these things, it is wise to lock in a ticket and a bed early, because July fills up fast on the coast.
