Ronnie Wood is in Lisbon on Monday night. The Rolling Stones guitarist takes the stage at the Coliseu dos Recreios on 14 September at 9pm, with his own band and Imelda May as special guest. Doors open an hour earlier.

What you will hear

The show is built around FEARLESS: THE ANTHOLOGY 1965-2025, the collection Wood released last year covering six decades of music, including four new tracks, among them You’re So Fine. It is a career that could comfortably have been three: The Birds as a teenager, the Jeff Beck Group, the Faces, the seventies solo records with George Harrison and Rod Stewart drifting through the studio, and then 1975, the year he joined the Rolling Stones and stayed.

Imelda May is not a filler booking. The Irish singer moves between rockabilly, blues and ballad on the same voice without asking permission, and she shares with Wood a taste for a stage where the guitar still leads.

Prices and timings

Tickets start at 45 euros for the standing gallery and top out at 195 for the orchestra chairs, with several steps in between: 130 euros for stalls P to Z, 160 for stalls G to O, 180 for stalls A to F, 90 for the unreserved balcony. They are sold at the Coliseu, FNAC, El Corte Inglés, Worten, Agência ABEP, coliseulisboa.com and bol.pt, and the venue is blunt about buying anywhere else: don’t.

The show is recommended for over-sixes, and under-threes are not admitted. Reduced-mobility seating has to be arranged directly with the Coliseu box office.

What's on in Portugal this weekend: 10 days of open heritage start on Friday

European Heritage Days run from 18 to 27 September, with activities in almost every district and much of it free. Here is what is happening between Friday and Sunday, from a hospital ship in Viana do Castelo to a wine press cut into bare rock.

Friday opens the European Heritage Days in Portugal, and for ten days a lot of buildings that normally keep their doors shut will not. This year's theme is "Reviver, resistir, reinventar" — revive, resist, reinvent. The practical part is that the national programme runs from 18 to 27 September, covers almost every district, and is free more often than not. This is the first of its two weekends.

Edgar Pêra's Guerrilha no Asfalto works from the testimony of a former FP-25 operative. The festival's 24th edition runs in Lisbon from 15 to 25 October, and the first Portuguese titles are out, including a portrait of the fado singer Carminho.
