Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, bringing that heavy desert-guitar sound that rarely crosses paths with Nashville. And The War and Treaty, the soul and americana duo who have spent recent years collecting nominations and quietly stealing shows from whoever books them.
The result reads less like a nostalgia lap and more like a genuine attempt to work out where a singer with this much history still fits in 2026. Twain sold enough records in the nineties to never have to prove anything again, which usually produces comfortable albums. This one seems to want the opposite.
