The Globos de Ouro 2026 nominees are out, and the gala lands on 26 September

SIC has revealed the nominees for the 30th Globos de Ouro. Seventeen awards across seven areas, a gala on 26 September at Coliseu dos Recreios, and three Rabo de Peixe actors in one category.

The nominees landed on Wednesday night and the list holds fewer shocks than usual — which, at the Globos de Ouro, almost counts as news in itself. Portugal’s biggest entertainment awards turn 30 this year, hand out 17 statuettes across seven areas, and take over the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon on 26 September.

Who is nominated at the Globos de Ouro 2026?

In fiction, Rabo de Peixe dominates again: Afonso Pimentel, José Condessa and Rodrigo Tomás all compete for Best Actor, and the show is up for Best Project alongside Vitória, Páginas da Vida, Casa-Abrigo and Refúgio do Medo. Best Actress brings together Maria João Bastos, Sofia Alves, Cláudia Vieira, Catarina Rebelo and Helena Caldeira.

In music, Best Performer lines up A Garota Não, Carminho, Maro, Miguel Araújo and Sara Correia — and three of those names reappear in Best Song, where Este País Não é Para Mães, Balada do País que Dói and Elogio da Preguiça face Maro’s Kiss Me and Falho by Duques do Precariado. On the film side, Lavagante and O Riso e a Faca arrive with several nominations each.

What is different about this edition?

Entertainment gains a new category, Best Project, contested by Alta Definição, Casados à Primeira Vista, Cataplana de Paixão, Manhãs da Comercial and Taskmaster. And the Personality of the Year shortlist in that area features a first nomination for Nuno Markl, next to the familiar João Baião, César Mourão, Diana Chaves and Manuel Luís Goucha.

Some categories are still under wraps, including the Newcomer prize and the special 30th-anniversary awards, which the organisers are holding back for the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you follow these nights at all: this year’s TVI summer party was defined by who did not turn up, and Portugal’s awards season could use one that goes smoothly.
