Silves Beer Fest 2026 is over (it ran in July, free entry). The Medieval Fair has Silves now, 7 to 15 August
Silves Beer Fest 2026 ran 15-19 July on Praça Al-Mutamid, free to enter. The 2027 dates are not set yet, and the thing filling Silves now is the Medieval Fair, 7 to 15 August, at 2 euros a day.
Silves Beer Fest 2026 is over: five days on Praça Al-Mutamid, at the foot of the castle, from 15 to 19 July, given over to Portugal’s craft beer scene — with nothing to pay at the gate. If you landed here looking for the next event in Silves, the answer is at the bottom of this page.
How much did Silves Beer Fest 2026 cost?
Nothing. Entry was free across all five days — you paid only for what you drank and ate, sold at the producers’ own stalls. There were no tickets, no wristbands and no advance sales, and that is how the festival has run since it started. The event history stays on the Silves council website.
What was at Silves Beer Fest 2026?
Craft beers from producers across Portugal, a broad food offering, and a bill mixing covers and tribute bands, Portuguese popular music, rock, world sounds, DJ sets and comedy. There was also a Fun Zone aimed at younger visitors — the format was firmly a family summer party rather than a tasting session for purists.
When is Silves Beer Fest 2027?
The 2027 dates have not been announced. The festival has settled into mid-July, so the week of 14-18 July 2027 is the reasonable guess — but nothing is confirmed, and we will update this page as soon as the council publishes its calendar.
In the meantime, anyone heading to the Algarve in August will not go short of a packed square: the beer festival is the warm-up for the town’s big summer event, and the Silves Medieval Fair takes over the old town from 7 to 15 August, with day tickets at 2 euros under the theme “Xilb, City of Poets and Scholars”. This summer, in fact, medieval fairs are multiplying across the country.
