Vilar de Mouros 2026: Kasabian, Ben Harper and Yungblud at Portugal's oldest festival
CA Vilar de Mouros returns to Caminha on 18–22 August 2026, with Yungblud, Dropkick Murphys, Kasabian, Ben Harper and Body Count topping the bill.
The grandfather of Portuguese festivals is back. CA Vilar de Mouros, born in 1971 on the banks of the river Coura, returns in 2026 with a bill that mixes Celtic punk, stadium rock and guitar legends — all in a village in Caminha that, for one week, becomes the musical capital of the country.
When is Vilar de Mouros 2026?
From 18 to 22 August, with one headliner per night: Yungblud opens on the 18th, Dropkick Murphys bring the Celtic punk on the 19th, Kasabian take over on the 20th, Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals own the night of the 21st, and Ice-T’s Body Count close on the 22nd. In between come more big names, including The Hives, Less Than Jake, Kula Shaker and War.
How much are Vilar de Mouros tickets?
Day tickets start at €55 and full passes run €130–160, camping included, subject to capacity. The formula is a classic for a reason: river swims by day, concerts by night, and the medieval bridge as the mandatory photo backdrop. The full programme and ticket office are on the festival’s official site.
Northern Portugal’s festival summer doesn’t stop here — July already brought MEO Marés Vivas to Matosinhos, and August pushes the party further north, right up to the Minho border.
Fifty-five years after the first chord, Vilar de Mouros keeps proving the classics never go out of style.
