Norway won, 2-1. Haaland opened the scoring in the 79th minute with a header and struck again in the 90th to put the Scandinavians 2-0 up. The brace takes him to seven goals at the tournament, level with its top scorers. Neymar did convert a penalty inside the ten minutes of added time, but it only put a gloss on the scoreline.
How did Brazil waste the game?
The moment that turned everything came in the first half, when Norway goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland saved a penalty from Bruno Guimarães. Nyland was the man of the night, with a string of decisive stops, and was also involved in a flare-up with Neymar before the late spot-kick. Brazil dominated possession but kept running into the human wall Norway placed between the posts.
