Portugal finished second in their group, which set up this round-of-32 tie, to be played in Toronto. It wasn’t the top spot many dreamed of, but it secured passage, and at this point in the tournament what counts is moving on.

Portugal and Croatia have crossed paths often enough that no one needs an introduction.
