Hold on to your seat: tickets for the final on 19 July have reached around 9,500 euros in official sales, driven by the dynamic pricing model FIFA debuted this edition — prices rise with demand, like airfares. The system has yielded millions and an equal dose of controversy: dozens of US members of Congress criticised the model and resale commissions, and the attorneys general of New York and New Jersey opened investigations into the pricing practices. The final sales phase, meanwhile, is already under way for the remaining matches.
