FMM Sines 2026 is already on — and a good chunk of the concerts are free
FMM Sines 2026 runs 17-25 July between Porto Covo and Sines castle, with 38 concerts and many free shows. Dates, lineup and tickets.
FMM Sines 2026 is already underway: the 26th edition of the Festival Músicas do Mundo kicked off on 17 July in Porto Covo and runs until the 25th, with the caravan moving to Sines from the 20th — concerts by the castle, through the old town, with the Atlantic on permanent scenery duty. Nine days, 38 concerts, and one of the summer’s best headlines still stands: a good chunk of it is free.
Who’s playing FMM Sines 2026?
The lineup is the festival’s usual around-the-world-in-nine-days: Le Trio Joubran, Julian Marley, Orquesta Akokán, Tamikrest, Otto, Lia Kali, Mádé Kuti, La Niña and the improbable meeting of Congo’s Konono Nº1 with Montparnasse Musique. The Portuguese quota carries weight too, with Vitorino and The Legendary Tigerman among the most anticipated names. It’s the kind of bill where half a dozen discoveries end up mattering as much as the headliners — the house speciality since 1985.
How much are FMM Sines 2026 tickets?
Shows marked as paid are ticketed per concert, on sale through the festival’s official site and the BOL network, plus the Sines Arts Centre; the rest are free — just show up. For the first days the stage is Porto Covo, a seaside village that in July is already a postcard; from Monday the party moves down to the big stage by Sines castle.
If you’re planning the rest of the weekend, there’s plenty to pick from — our weekend guide rounds up options north to south. And in August the south strikes again with the Festival do Marisco in Olhão — summer, clearly, is taking no prisoners.
