Big Brother All Stars has its first eviction: David Maurício, on 10% of the vote
Sunday brought the opening eviction night of TVI's returning-champions series. Luís Gonçalves was saved first on 43%; David Maurício managed 10% and left after a single week.
The first eviction night of Big Brother All Stars ended on Sunday with David Maurício leaving the house on 10% of the vote to save. He is the first housemate out of the run, which began on 6 September on TVI with Maria Botelho Moniz presenting.
Four were up in week one: David Maurício, Diogo Cunha, Joana Sobral and Luís Gonçalves. Luís Gonçalves was saved first, on 43%, with Joana Sobral and Diogo Cunha following him. That left the name with the fewest votes.
Who David Maurício is
Portuguese viewers know him from Big Brother 2024, a stint defined by a turbulent relationship with Daniela Ventura and ended by an eviction three days before the final. He came back to the channel’s formats afterwards, as a captain on Dilema and on Secret Story — Desafio Final. He entered this series as one of the faces the audience recognises instantly, and he went out first.
What All Stars actually is
It is the comeback edition: seven winners of previous series plus a handful of finalists, among them Francisco Monteiro, who won in 2023, Miguel Vicente, the 2022 winner, and Inês Morais, who took both Big Brother 2024 and Secret Story — Desafio Final. The premise is the friction of putting people in a house who have all played this game before and know exactly how it is won, which tends to speed everything up: alliances, rows, and, as Sunday showed, the first exit.
TVI closed Big Brother Verão ten days ago, won by Sara with 59% of the vote in the 4 September final. The gap between one series and the next was two days — which is as much a scheduling strategy as it is a test of the audience’s stamina.
