Going to see U2 in Lisbon? There's now a second night at the Luz
Live Nation has added Friday 28 May 2027 at Estádio da Luz, the night after the 27 May show. Prices revealed at presale run from 95 euros in the top tier to 533 euros for the Red Zone by the stage, with VIP packages up to 1,023 euros.
Make that two nights. U2 will play Lisbon’s Estádio da Luz on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 May 2027. Live Nation announced the extra date late on Thursday afternoon, hours after presale opened for the first show, and it now sits on the official concert page, where general sale opened at 10:00 this Friday.
Wolf Alice are still the openers. For U2 it is a return to Portugal nine years after two nights at the Altice Arena in 2018. When the 27 May show was first announced, nobody yet knew what it would cost.
What it costs
Prices came out with the presale, and the range is wide. There are ten ticket types and seven seating areas. The main ones:
- top tier (piso 3): from 95 euros (95.87, according to the sports daily A Bola);
- lower stands: over 260 euros;
- standing floor and GA Pit: about 190 euros;
- Red Zone, standing by the stage: 533 euros including fees, with part of the price going to (RED), the campaign that funds the Global Fund to fight AIDS;
- VIP packages: from 451 to 1,023 euros.
During presale each buyer was limited to four tickets. Door times have not been published yet.
Which ticket?
If you want the floor, the sum is simple: standing costs twice the cheapest seat, but puts you ahead of almost everyone sitting down. If you just want to hear the songs from the new album, Carnaval de Luz, the top tier is the cheapest way in, with a view down onto the stage.
The promoter has not said why it added the date. Tickets are on sale on Live Nation’s site and the usual outlets. Be wary of resale listings above these prices, especially in the first few hours.
